Case Study - Taranto Farms
Taranto Farms are projected to save $12,000 per year thanks to trusted commercial solar
Our Customer
Taranto Farms is a vegetable farm located in Tyabb on the idyllic Mornington Peninsula.
Founded in 1948, Taranto Farms is a fourth generation farm, priding themselves on the longevity of their private business, supplying Australia with quality produce for much longer than many of their competitors. Like many agriculture businesses with 24/7 cooling requirements, Taranto Farms were seeking a solution that would optimise their high energy needs.
How we helped
Taranto Farms were initially experiencing pressure to invest in other solutions that were close to three times too large for their consumption. Choice Energy provided a trusted expert approach, utilising our experience with usage profile of agriculture businesses to ensure Taranto Farms had a tailored solar solution designed specifically for their needs.
Following installation, Choice Energy identified we could help save them further by negotiating them a new energy contract, saving them $3,947 per annum.
As a family business, relationships and trust is everything.
We had spoken with several providers who were trying to sell us a solar system too big for what our usage required.
The team at Choice Energy stood out. After running their own assessment, they provided honest feedback about what the business actually needed rather than just trying to sell us the biggest system.
Since signing, they’ve provided quality workmanship and communication throughout the process and it’s great to see our energy costs come down.
